We believe in the Bible as our source for spiritual learning, and delight in studying the Bible together.
We focus on Jesus as our guide and life example.
We believe in God’s purpose with mankind; a better hope for the world, and His calling us to obey and follow Him and His son in all we say and do.
Our services and sermons are very Bible-oriented. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and we choose to demonstrate our belief in this resurrection through baptism and a daily life commitment. We recognize that salvation is by grace. We endeavor to be enthusiastic in our work, loyal to each other, generous in giving, dedicated to prayer, and live a life consistent with our faith.

Christadelphians
The Christadelphians are a Christian denomination started in the mid-nineteenth century. We never developed a central organization and each local group runs its own activities. The word “Christadelphian” is a construct from the Greek words “christ” and “adelphos”, meaning “Brethern in Christ”. We are a worldwide community of believers . The first Christadelphian group in Oregon was organized in 1874.
Christadelphians have come from all sorts of denominations and backgrounds and continue to respectfully question doctrines that are inconsistent with the entirety of God’s word. We assert that many common, so-called “Christian” beliefs are not taught by the Bible and are a confusing corruption of otherwise very simple truths.
Christadelphians are an organization in which everyone participates in whatever capacity they are able and willing to do so. There is no central authority. Christadelphians have no paid clergy and are a fully self supportive, non-profit organization composed of independent, autonomous church groups. In order to distinguish ourselves, we often use the term “ecclesia”, instead of “church”, although the meaning is virtually synonymous. Ecclesias are usually made of members from a region encompassing a few cities. In Oregon and Washington there are Christadelphian ecclesias in Waldport, Grants Pass, Medford, Olympia, Seattle and Portland.
About the Portland Christadelphians
The Portland Christadelphians are disciples of Jesus and worship and fellowship together in mutual support of living a life in keeping with the teachings of Jesus. We study Jesus’ teachings together and explore the Bible with an open mind, searching for insights that aid us in our daily life. We seek to learn to shine the light of God’s love thoughtfully and in all aspects of our lives.
We meet every Sunday to fellowship in joint remembrance of Jesus. We are a community seeking joy and peace in our service to God. We often call each other “brother” and “sister”, emphasizing our ties together as part of God’s family.
